"You beat me. Again."

"I know. Hard to believe, isn't it?"

"I demand a rematch!"

"Again? I already beat you ten times! Sora, haven't you had enough?" Riku sighed. "Does getting to name the boat matter so much to you?"

"It does, kind of..." Sora mumbled, dropping down on the sand.

"Or is it because you want to share the paopu fruit with Kairi?"

"Huh?" Sora's eyes widened. "No, it's not that..."

"What is it?"

"I...I wish I could beat you at something for once, Riku." Sora stared across the sea. "You're always a winner."

"Maybe you'll get lucky next time." Riku replied, sitting beside his friend. "There are some things I couldn't do..."

"You?" Sora turned to face Riku, a look of disbelief on his face. "You? Riku, the best swordsman, swimmer and runner in all of Destiny Island?"

"I do have limitations also."

"Like what?"

"I don't know." Riku sighed again and ran his hand through his silver hair. "I just feel that I still lack something."

"And that is..."

"I...I'm not sure. All I know is that there really are things I couldn't do."

"Maybe you're right..."

The two boys were silent as they both scanned the horizon for unseen lands. As the sun started to set, the sounds of the beach was slowly reduced to the flaps of the seagulls' wings and the crashing of the waves against the sand.

"Here." Riku said monotonously, handing Sora a paopu. "It's for you."

"For what? I thought you were giving this to Kairi..."

Riku didn't reply. Instead he stood up, dusted sand off his pants and started to walk away.

"Uhm...thanks, I guess." Sora replied to Riku's retreating back.

"Just so you know, Sora..." Riku stopped walking and turned around, and on his face was an enigmatic smile. "I just took a small bite."
